YOU are the Brand

Success means something different to everyone. A universal definition of success does not really exist, since everyone differently attributes meaning to the events happening to them. We all come from different backgrounds, and we all have different perceptions of our ideal lives. Around the world, the spectrum of success varies from securing food and shelter, to having a fancy car, depending on your circumstances (and your mindset).
Living a life worth living must take into account your own relationship with success. It means striving to be successful in the ways that YOU find empowering. It means being able to say that you tried in the face of adversity, that you did not let go of your dreams (regardless of their size).
Most of the successes in our lives will not be climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, or winning the Scripps National Spelling Bee. Some of the mountains you climb will be mole hills, and sometimes you’ll misspell “ventriloquist”. In fact, you might always misspell “ventriloquist”. It does not matter. Most of our “real” successes are in the everyday, mundane tasks we accomplish to keep our lives full and functioning.
For me, the definition of success means doing what I want, when I want, surrounded by the people I want to be with. It means no regrets, at least not about what you didn’t do.
Be a person who goes for it, a person who tries over and over again until you get it right. You will have some regrets, but don’t let those regrets be not showing up, or not believing in your own power.
